Our Start

iVolunteer is a registered student group at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). It was founded in April 2011 after 8-months of preparation and comprises of UCLA undergraduates and graduates. iVolunteer promotes acceptance, diversity, and leadership within our group and community. We encourage all people from every major, background, and ethnicity to join us and help us in our mission.

What We do

iVolunteer focuses on domestic volunteering over the academic school year and on international volunteering over the summers. Most international trips are no longer than 2 weeks long, and thus allow ample time for students to take summer sessions or enjoy the rest of their summer vacations. iVolunteer also has social events where we come together as a group and explore various areas in LA. Often this is to local places in Westwood and in the past we have gone to places like City Walk, Korea town, and Japan town.

Our Misstion

iVolunteer aims to create leaders through volunteer and cultural exchange experiences. Collaborating with students groups from multiple countries outside of the United States, we strive to organize local service projects and international volunteer activities with the three aims:
1. promote teamwork, understanding, and creativity
2. develop cultural competency and awareness through cultural exchange
3. develop leadership skills and social responsibility through volunteering and mentorship.
